Safety

Safety warnings from the record.

  • With pace detection on and an AED shock delivered, a PDM can show a false flat line and an asystole alarm. Source
  • In some Bx50, PDM and central station combinations, heart rate could be counted from pacer pulses with no Pacer Off message, so asystole might not alarm. Source
  • Battery failure can cause loss of monitoring during transport or power loss and delay recognition of deterioration. Source

Not covered: The B450 user and service manuals were not opened, so technical alarm messages, service menu checks and PM intervals are absent and no error codes are listed. Several recalls concern the PDM or gas modules used with the B450 rather than the monitor itself. The manufacturerUrl is GE HealthCare's home page.
