BMEssentia Design
Medical facilities, designed to standard.
Clinics, hospital departments and clinical rooms designed with AI and checked against named standards: measured plans, 3D walkthroughs, equipment lists and a cost estimate.
A real session in the BMEssentia Design planner, on an 8-bed intensive care unit: the to-scale plan, the 3D dollhouse and the walk inside.
What you get
From a brief to a department in 3D.
Send the brief. Essentia plans it to the standards (clearances, power and medical IT, gases, infection control, radiation and MR safety), gives you an estimate, then a 3D walkthrough you can review and approve.
- A to-scale floor plan with every measurement, for one floor or several
- A 3D dollhouse cutaway, eye-level room views and a walk mode, with Medical City device models placed in the rooms
- Room data sheets: power, gases, suction, water, drainage, air changes, shielding notes and IT
- The equipment list, room by room
- A rules checklist that names the guidance each check rests on
- A cost estimate against your budget, saved versions and a PDF
The rules checklist names its guidance, such as HTM 01-05 for dental decontamination, the FGI Guidelines, ADA 2010, ISO 23500, IEC 60364-7-710, NFPA 99, HTM 02-01, HTM 03-01 and ASHRAE 170.
Buy, the equipment buying advisor · Preview
Choose the equipment on the evidence.
Name the device, the setting, the budget and what matters most. Essentia shows real models from different makers, compares them from public FDA records and says how strong the evidence is, with every fact linked to its source. 366 real models across 57 device types.
- Models of the modality your setting needs, from different makers, with each maker's home country where a public source gives it
- Ordered by a stated rule: evidence first, then track record, then recall record. No score out of 100
- One model is named only when the evidence is strong; otherwise a shortlist and what would settle the choice
- Prices shown honestly: an estimate with its basis, or price on request
- Vendor neutral, with no paid placement
How it works
Five steps, from brief to final.
Brief
Tell us what you need. Ten minutes.
Estimate
We scope it and send a cost estimate.
Concept
A plan checked against the standards.
Walkthrough
Walk through it in 3D, ask for changes, approve.
Final
Drawings, equipment list and the checks, ready for your estates team.
Facility types
Clinics and departments it plans.
- Dental clinicOperatories, a one-way decontamination room, OPG or CBCT, compressor and suction plant, checked against HTM 01-05 and ADA 2010.
- Dialysis unitStation floor area against the FGI Guidelines and water treatment next to the treatment area per ISO 23500.
- Day surgery centreTheatres, recovery, CSSD, consulting and imaging over two floors, with the checks named on every item.
- Intensive care unit (ICU)Bed spaces and isolation rooms with pendants, monitors, ventilators and infusion pumps, and the support rooms around them.
- Medical spaTreatment rooms, an aesthetic laser room, relaxation, changing and plant, with accessibility checks named.
- Imaging suiteX-ray, OPG and CBCT rooms marked as shielded for the radiation protection adviser, kept away from waiting.
Honest rules
What it will not do.
- It never invents a figure. A size with no source is marked as a planning figure to be confirmed by the professional.
- Radiation shielding is always set by the radiation protection adviser or qualified expert.
- Electrical design, medical gases, ventilation, fire and local licensing rules are flagged for the qualified professional.
- Nothing is called engineer verified unless a person really reviewed it.
- Vendor neutral, with no paid equipment placement.
Plan it yourself first
The same rules, in Medical City and Essentia.
Try the rules the design engine uses in the Medical City simulations: fit out a room in Room Builder or plan a department in Hospital Architect. In Essentia, the Plan studio gives a first facility concept and sends it to BMEssentia Design for the 3D walkthrough. BMEssentia Design uses the same 3D device models as Medical City.
