Delete your BMEssentia account
How to delete your account and personal data in the BMEssentia app, developed by BMEssentia L.L.C-FZ, and what happens to your data.
This page is for the BMEssentia app on Google Play and the App Store, the BMEssentia Platform and Medical City. All of them use one BMEssentia account, so deleting it deletes it everywhere. The developer is BMEssentia L.L.C-FZ, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Option 1: delete it in the app
- Open the BMEssentia app and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Go to Profile.
- Tap the edit or settings button on your profile.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm.
Option 2: ask us by email
If you no longer have the app, email team@bmessentia.net from the email address of the account you want deleted, with the subject line “Privacy Request: delete my account”. We only act on requests sent from the account's own address, so that no one else can delete your account.
How long it takes
We remove your personal data within 90 days of a valid deletion request, except where the law requires us to keep it, or where it is needed to resolve a pending dispute or legal claim.
What is deleted
- Your account: name, email address, sign-in details and profile.
- What you made and saved: learning progress, notes, highlights, saved answers and portfolio entries.
- Your questions to Essentia and its answers, while they are still held in a form that identifies you.
- Your community posts and interactions, subject to moderation records we must keep.
- Medical City data linked to you: raw position samples, daily time totals and heat-map cells.
What is kept, and for how long
Some records must be kept for a set time after your account is deleted. They are not used for anything else.

If your account was given to you by a university, hospital or company, that institution also holds some of the data about your seat. Ask them as well, as their own privacy notice applies.
