Model note · SPECT
Siemens Symbia T series and Symbia Intevo series SPECT/CT
Symbia is Siemens Healthineers' long running dual head gamma camera family. The T series and later Intevo series add a diagnostic spiral CT on the same gantry for attenuation correction and anatomical fusion, and Intevo adds xSPECT reconstruction. Its recall history is unusually mechanical: detector motion, bearings, gears, bolts and fuses.

Safety
Safety warnings from the record.
- Unintended radial detector motion can cause compression injuries to the patient. Source
- With a radiotherapy pallet and a non circular orbit, a detector can touch a patient who is not centred. Source
- On T6 and T16 systems the plastic cap over the CT gantry power switch could come loose and expose live contacts. Source
- A defect in energy window positioning with some software and Foresight detector firmware could affect image interpretation. Source

Not covered: Hardware figures come from the Intevo Bold page and may not apply to older T series units. Intrinsic resolution, table weight limit and power requirements were not found on an official page that could be opened. Service manuals and error codes are not public, so errorCodes is empty. More than 35 recall records exist across Symbia S, T, E and Intevo; Symbia E and Pro.specta items are left out except where they share a cause. Recall text was read through openFDA because FDA recall pages returned errors at drafting time.
