Zimmer Persona The Personalized Knee System
Persona is Zimmer Biomet's main total knee system, built on its earlier NexGen line. It is a semi-constrained modular prosthesis that resurfaces femur, tibia and patella, with an anatomic, asymmetric tibial plate and many femoral sizes so the surgeon can match the patient closely. Options include Trabecular Metal porous components for cementless fixation, Ti-Nidium femurs for metal sensitive patients and Vivacit-E vitamin E polyethylene bearings.

Not covered: An implant has no error codes. The Persona instructions for use and surgical technique were not opened, so MRI conditions, materials of each component and contraindications are incomplete. MAUDE counts under brand Persona mix total, partial and revision knees. Recalls for the separate Persona Partial Knee and Persona Revision lines, third party sensors (OrthoSensor VERASENSE) and stem extensions sold under other brands were excluded.
