Safety

Safety warnings from the record.

  • Use continuous irrigation to prevent heat build up; overheated equipment can cause tissue necrosis. Source
  • Do not use a craniotome with the hand control, as rotational force can move the control and stop the handpiece. Source
  • Do not lay the handpiece on magnetic drapes in hand control mode, as it may start running. Source
  • Dissection tools are single use; side loading can fracture them. Source
  • Products used on confirmed TSE or CJD patients should be incinerated and will not be accepted for return. Source
