Nihon Kohden Neurofax EEG-1200 series
The Neurofax EEG-1200 is Nihon Kohden's modular digital EEG and sleep study system for routine EEG, long term epilepsy monitoring and ICU work. A system is built from an electrode junction box (head box) at the patient, an isolation unit and main unit that supply isolated power, a Windows PC unit and acquisition and review software. The common JE-921A junction box offers 25 EEG inputs plus extra, bipolar, DC, SpO2 and CO2 inputs, while the JE-120A box raises the count to 256 channels at up to 10 kHz for research and intracranial recording.

Safety
Safety warnings from the record.
- Outside a medical facility the system may only be used under the direct supervision of a medical professional. Source
- The system is Class I equipment (protection against shock relies on protective earth), and the datasheet lists it for continuous operation. Source
- Mains powered parts of the system are fed through the main unit's isolated power supply rather than from separate wall sockets. Source

Not covered: No original operator or service manual for the EEG-1200 was publicly reachable (copies sit behind paid or upload sites), so there are no error messages, troubleshooting tables, maintenance intervals or failing part data; errorCodes and commonFailingParts are empty for that reason. The datasheet's two column layout extracts in a jumbled order, so only values whose labels were unambiguous were used. No FDA recall names the EEG-1200 or K080546; the only Nihon Kohden EEG product code recall found concerns the PSG-1100 sleep system and was left out. MAUDE has about a dozen Neurofax reports, too few to show a trend. The successor EEG-1260A (K251366) was not covered.
