D.O.R.C. EVA NEXUS Ophthalmic Surgical System

EVA NEXUS is DORC's combined anterior and posterior segment surgical console, the successor to EVA. It uses plunger pumps acting on a cartridge for both infusion and aspiration, so the surgeon can work in flow or vacuum control, and its Smart IOP mode sets infusion pressure from the chosen aspiration and instrument data. With TDC two dimensional cutters that cut on both strokes, it reaches 20,000 cuts per minute. Options include phaco, diathermy, endoillumination and a 532 nm laser.

Not covered: DORC's user and service manuals were not publicly reachable, so there are no error codes, maintenance intervals or electrical specifications beyond the 510(k). Other DORC recalls (laser probes with Alcon/Lumenis connectors, a VGPC pack for the earlier EVA) were left out as they do not clearly apply to EVA NEXUS.
